Eurovison Song Contest 2005
The 2005 Eurovision Song Contest was the 50th edition of the event and took place at the Palace of Sports, Kiev in the Ukraine. The contest was a very successful affair and the pundits betting tips pointed towards Norwegian glam metal band Wig Wam and Ireland's Donna and Joseph McCaul as favourites to win Eurovision. Amazingly out of the 25 semi-finalists the former darlings of the contest and Eurovision favourites, Ireland failed to qualify for the final.
