Famous Entries 
Of the hundreds of entries over the years in the Eurovision Song contest many of the entrants have gone on to bigger and better things, some have disappeared down the Eurovision toilet but some were famous before they even set down the Eurovision path.
Lulu
Prior to entering Eurovision Song contest Lulu was well known to the British public as a solo singer who had scored several top 10 singles, including her classic song "Shout" in 1965 , she also starred in the 1967 film "To Sir With Love" with Sidney Poiter.
Eurovision was not Lulu's first step into Europe, during 1966 she recorded two German language tracks, "Wenn Du Da Bist" and "So Fing es an" for the Decca Germany record label. She entered Eurovision 2009 with a song chosen by BBC viewers called "Boom Bang a Bang", the song went on to be a joint winner with Spain, The Netherlands and France who all had 18 points each, this was the first ever draw and the rules were altered to prevent it happening again as several countries refusing to enter the 1970 competition.
Cliff Richard
By the time of the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest Cliff had already released twelve albums all of which reached the top forty albums and appeared in several films including Summer Holiday and The Young Ones.
In 1968 he entered the song contest with the song "Congratulations" coming second to Spain by just one point. It was claimed by a report by Reuters in 2008 that result was fixed by the Spanish dictator Francisco Francot o ensure that the Spanish entry won.
