The Spanish entrant was selected after competing in the television show Destino Eurovision which was organised by Spanish broadcaster RTVE.

As Spain are one of the big five countries that fund the contest they are able to be sent straight to the Eurovision Song Contest final which is held on 14th May 2011 from the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf.
