As the song contest approaches its 55th outing it is becoming apparent who the front-runners in this market are.  Once each country has selected its song and performer, which is often conducted by TV judging much in the same way as the UK uses its 'Your Country Needs You'  to decide on its representative there is a period of weeks before the contest itself during which the PR machines are whirring throughout the continent.
