This year boy band Blue will represent the UK, abandoning the normal recruiting programme, 'Your Country Needs You' which so far has not brought the hoped for success from the world of unknown artists.

As one of the "big five" Blue can circumvent having to appear in the semi finals and go straight to the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest final on the 14th May 2011.
